UPDATED PICTURES MARCH 2017

NEW GOAL... A continuation to my journey.

Hi!!!!

So due to my degenerative disk disease I believe (after measuring myself) I lost 2,5 inches. So now I am 5'1.5" tall. So as of today, I am at 160 pounds, BMI 27.4, putting me finally at overweight.... WHOOOT! incredible. I have not been "overweight" in a million years LOL.  So, the Goal here is to become "NORMAL" in those evil charts.  So I need to  loose 26 pounds. So I have committed myself that by September 2017, I need to reach this goal. Right now I am in size 9 from 26W, so I am definitely not complaining, and I definitely content. However. I came this far, why not further. This is my 4th year with this surgery, and I am a living proof that this is hard work, and not a miracle surgery. but its a Super tool! I am also a living proof, that if you want it badly enough and you are willing to make sacrifices, you can accomplish a lot! So join my in this journey that started 4 years a go! GO ME!

UPDATE January 2017 3 YEARS and counting!

My Gastric Bypass surgery was on November 26, 2013, it has been over 3 years now. By now, many people can see their permanent changes, of if they re-gained weight or if in fact the surgery was a success. Well, I am here to tell you that I believe I am a complete success!

When I first started this journey I weighted 315 pounds, and I was about size 26W. I hit many stalls along the way, and many challenges. I have learned a lot about my body, and I continue to learn more with each day that passes.

Today I am happy to report that I am not size 9/10 and weight 160 pounds. This was only a dream to me at one point in my life. Now, its a reality, and I couldn't be more happy with my progress. I also went from a size 11W in shoes to a regular 10, on underwear I went from a size 11 to a size 6, and on bra size I went from 48DD to 40DD.

Food portions are still small. I still feel that the pouch have not stretched as much as other people. I do have a sweet tooth.

I used to be able to eat a whole Medium pizza by myself, and now I barely can get two slices in.

I also found that the best way to get my antacid, its by chews. (best invention ever)

OH, also, my ring size wen from 11 to a 6.5!!!!!

Well, this is me now! I will update soon! Thanks for reading and following my progress. This was not easy, but I thank all those who supported me through this journey.

Update: January 2, 2016

Granola bars are supposed to be good right? Well I have an obsession with them. My diet has consist of granola bars and most of the time coffee in the mornings. Then for lunch a waffle or a sandwich, then granola bars again through all the day, until dinner. The good thing is, I have been eating dinner earlier between 7 and 9 pm. Much improvement from before.

I quit my job because of all the pain from Lupus, Anxiety and Depression I was experiencing. So now, I can maintain a somewhat better schedule for my food eating lifestyle. It was a rough end of the year for me. I will try this year, (not making a New Year's resolution) but,  will try to lose those extra 20 pounds before the end of the year. I am consistently at 180 from 315 (135 lost) , so I am still happy about that. As long as I don't gain any weight we are all good. I still get sick from greasy and fatty food so stay away from that. I get full fast still, and everything seems normal with my pouch. The only difference I have noticed, is that now I can mostly tolerate skim milk from 1%.

I cannot believe it has been two years already since surgery. The funny thing is, that I increasingly, look in the mirror and see myself as fat as I once was. I guess I am getting use to this new body and finding new flaws every day. I decided against reconstructive surgery. Also another update would be that my blood pressure has been high a few times which I am not very happy about. The doctor thinks it was just because I was going through some stressful times.

Well that's it for this update, God Bless, and keep it up!

Green Tea

I am not a fan of any tea except chai tea. So since today my boyfriend, has to start doing a clearing diet, I decided to support him, and drinking the same stuff he drinks. Well we went to Starbucks, and he ordered hot green tea. The taste for me, its just hot water with a few leaves on it. That's the taste, is not complete shit, but it is tolerable. I has 0 calories, which is a big difference from my Caramel Brulee from last night. I am usung Fitness Track to track my calories, and I must say, I regret stop using it. It really puts into perspective, how bad I've been doing.Granola bar fro breakfast, green tea for a drink, and maybe another granola bar for lunch. Dinner might be a little heavier, However tomorrow will be out complete liquid diet. I really care about my well being and having someone with me that can do this thins without copains its very awesome Than You +Scott Bonnar .

Celebrating Two years of my Gastric Bypass, The best decision I've ever made.

Two  years have pass, since I took this huge step. Today I still feel great. I know I've made some bad nutrition choices on my journey, but I am not short of keeping strong. Everyday I struggle and fight, to keep healthy in this world, full of bad choices. I still keeping strong at 180 pounds. It could be better. I still need to loose about 30 more pounds. But I am content with weighting less than 200. I don't remember the last time I was under 200 pounds, therefore I am happy. I wear size 10 in pants, which is a big different, seeing that I was size 24W two years ago. I have gain many friends in this journey, I've also lost many. I learned that the world it's a very shallow place. Looks matter too much to people. People make fun of big woman, in the cruelest ways. I am no longer the fat girl, that was included in events, just so I didn't left out. I am the girl that has to be active, and be happy with myself being awkward and not have many friends. I am no longer the girl guys will just friend zone. I am the girl that has to show self respect, and look pass the looks, and wear a paper bag so they can see me for who I truly am. I am not girl, that will take extra food and make jokes of my weight. I am the girl that has to watch what she eats. I am not the girl that people will call beautiful just to help my self-esteem. I am the girl, that its beautiful, inside and out, and I believe it. I am not the girl that will avoid pictures. I am the girl that love posing and looking at the mirror. I am happy with the person, I've become. Yes I am still full of insecurities, Who isn't? But I love every piece of myself. Wrinkly, loose skin, saggy arms and not so perky breasts, that's what I have, that's what I love, because I feel healthy inside.

Broke the weight stall!

Although I been loosing inches; I was a size 16 in June 2014 and now I'm a size 12, maybe less (my pants are getting loose again) I finally lost some weight on the scale. Yay! I'm at 182 out of 300. That being said; I been experiencing lots of pain due to the Lupus and Rheumathoid arthirithis. The doctor prescribed me Prednisone for the time being (supposedly makes you gain weight) I been feeling better on my pain threshold. I also been taking lots of Tylenol arthritis pain doses. I been keeping up with all my vitamins, and taking the extra B-12 and Iron. I have also started to see a Psychiatric for my axiety and depression. I'm currently on Lexapro and Klonopin. I have seen a tremendous difference on my sleep pattern and tolerance levels. I been going to sleep early, and waking up early. I been able to concetrate more on things that matter and actually organize my thought more efficiently. So I say; IT WORKS!  I rode a bike! I was in tremendous pain afterwards but it was fun! I wish I could do it all the time. I'm currently experiencing symtoms of asthma. I haven't had any asthma for years now.  Not sure if it's because I am back to living in a warmer climate. When I used to live in Puerto Rico, I was sick all the time. Maybe the pollen it's causing it. However I refuse to go back to live up north. Anyways, I always turn this into a health update.

In other notes! I bought my first 2 piece bathing suit!!!! And it's a peachy color. Not my usual granny black skirt bathing suit or pants and shirt! I'm very happy about that!
Size XL on top and large on bottom!!!
It's an amazing feeling!

I went out with my friend the other day too, and I looked so good on the dress! !

My confidence level has gone sky high! Just saying!

Note: ALWAYS use fitness pal to track all the food you eat! If you don't, you will over eat. This is something I learned the hard way!

You are Special and Unique

Remember, how you got to this spot in your life. Remember the hardships you have endure. Remember the things you have accomplish this far. Do Not Compare, your success to others, because all that will do is get you down. It is impossible to measure your uniqueness to others, that's when we begin to fail. We tried to compete with other people and we forget we are all may so different but so  very similar.

I had find myself staring at another woman's picture, seen how skinny they got, and how well they have done, and I have found myself feeling jealous of their success. However, just recently I realized, I need to see how far I have become and how happy i really feel with myself. Not looking at how other's look, and focusing on myself. I lost over 100 pounds in 1 year. I am proud. I went from 300 plus to 185. I went from a size 24/26W to a size 12, smallest since Middle School, and guess what? I am proud of myself.

My advice to you?

Do not look at that 300 pounds lady, that is 130 now... Do not look at that lady that wear size 6 now, Yes be happy for them, but look at your timeline. Look at how far you have come, look at the people that thought you were going to fail, and laugh. Look at your new cute clothes, and smile. Look at how can you cross your legs, and smile. Look at how you can shop on regular stores, and smirk. Who cares if you didn't reach the insanely low goal.... that makes you practically a super model. YOU look fantastic. And the best part, you did it all by yourself.

I AM HAPPY WITH MY FLABBY ARMS, BECAUSE THEY REMIND ME AT HOW FAR I HAVE COME.

I AM HAPPY WITH MY FLABBY TUMMY, BECAUSE IT REMINDS ME OF HOW BIG AND TIGHT IT WAS.

I AM HAPPY WITH MY WRINKLY BUT AND TIGHTS, BECAUSE I CAN NOW FIT IN SKINNY JEANS.

I AM HAPPY WITH MY SAGGY BOOBS, BECAUSE I CAN FIT IN A SMALLER REGULAR BRA FROM VICTORIA SECRET.

BUT OVERALL, I AM HAPPY I LOST OVER 100 POUNDS BECAUSE PEOPLE DIDN'T THINK I COULD DO IT. AND NOW I DON'T HAVE TO SLEEP WITH A MACHINE.

The battle continues!

1 year 2 months

My battle continues
Since July, I have not loss anything at all. And I'm part to blame. I haven't gain anything either, but I know I'm doing bad. I been sneaking chocolate. I been weak. I think this behavior has started because the pain in my body has gotten worst since I reached 185 pounds. I feel everything in my body. It's hard to walk and it's hard to sit, as you might remember on previous entries I Have Lupus and other health problems.  I try to excersize but it's hard. Between depression and pain it has become a daily challenge. I know some of the the things that got me to 300 pounds are happening again. And I refuse to go back. So I keep doing little bit of the excersize I can. Like parking really far at Walmart so I have to walk and dancing to one song before my shower. Today I it's day 3 of a Lupus Flare, I feel terrible but I must continue. I have class to attend. I refuse to let this defeat me and end up in disability. One of the reasons as you can remember, it's that I did not want to end up disable.... So I am not letting this defeat me! I will get up another day do what I can and continue. If I have to eat one chocolate to get me trough my train wreck of a day I will. But I'm not going to fall back to soda and greasy fast food. Because I have been through so much with this surgery that everything I did will not become in vain. I will rise again. And loose this last 20 pounds to reach my goal!
If I can do it, you can too!

If they tell you it doesn't work, it's because they are doing it wrong!

1 year after surgery! Whohoo! Man it feels like it was just yesterday, I still can't believe how much weight I lost. And how different I look. Lot of people say it didn't work for them. Well the things it's this is definelty just a tool. If you not going to give up soda, alcohol, and fats, then of course you will fail. Many people have body pain, like I do. And cannot excersise but, if you eat good you can still loose weight. I will share some of my secrets in another post. I have Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, degerative disks and knees. Carpal tunnel, and asthma. Severe depression, but I have made it! Come back to check out how I still did it. I wish I could have done more but, I know my limitations. I haven't loose more weight for 3 months but I will loose more. I will reach 160 before summer!

10.5 months.... Update!

As you might of read before, your life gets very busy after loosing 100 pounds. It feels like the weight was holding me back. It's an awesome feeling. However it's not all smiles and dreamy flower patch skipping in the rain.
I've stopped throwing up a lot. I still cannot eat burgers without getting sick, I can now eat about 3 homemade tacos with mostly lettuce. I LOVE TACOS!!!!
One thing I found out recently it's that I developed a condition that wasn't told to me called "reactive hypoglycemia". Basically it's that when I eat sugars my body process it so fast that my actual glucose drops so fast that I get tired, sleepy and most of the time I pass out. I try not to eat sugars when I'm out alone ;)
I lost my taste for some of my favorite foods like sea food!!!!!!!!! :( I don't even care for shrimp anymore and I was an avid shrimp fest customer. Another thing that makes me get super sick and puke it's Chinese take out.

I can eat steamed rice and basically anything that it's baked or boiled or steamed. Absolutely no fried food! I will never ever have fried food again. For one its horrible for me and two anything to oily makes me sick.

I'm not perfect, I have a weakness ; sweets. Therefore I try to stay with sugar free options, however I don't eat to much of this, it gives me horrible gas...just saying.
I'm struggling with loose skin but i manage with cover ups for my saggy arms.
Also my lupus it's ruining my life. I'm  thinner now but I can't do a lot of things I want mainly because I feel like I'm going to break a bone.

Oh talking about bones reminded me about the coccyx problem. My tail bone hurts when I sit for more than 15 minutes. I barely had any butt before surgery now I'm flat back there. I'm top heavy and I wish my fat would distribute better. STILL A 115 pounds lighter!!!!! Yay me !
I absolutely don't drink ANY carbonated beverages. My fear it's that I will gain weight or fall back in to old habits. That's what keeps me in check. Will do a year update in November.

Oh, I barely work out, when I do I have to stay in bed for 3 days because of my joint pain and rheumatoid arthritis and the Lupus...  :(

I still 100%! Behind this surgery, I works differently for everyone, so do research and listen to your doctor!!!
Look at that chin!

My 9th month Update!

My 9th month Update. Well it has been 9 months since my surgery and Over a year since I started this journey. I have lost a total of 111 pounds. It has been hard, I hit so many stalls. So from 300 pounds I reached 185. That’s a lot. I have to keep reminding myself that’s a lot. Charts and society still says I am obese, and that gets to me sometimes. However, I am 100 plus pounds lighter. I went from size 26 to size 12, that has to count for something. It does counts, but sometimes I forget how hard I have worked to get here. Its like I keep seeing the imperfections. The saggy loose skin, or those 20 pounds that i need to loose to just be “overweight”. Sometimes, I forget that my 10 year old weights 90 pounds and I lost 111, that means I lost in pounds a whole healthy 10 year old (lol).

So to update, my favorite food was American Chinese Food, and now, BLEH, I cannot stand it. It makes me sick eating it and looking at it. The oils are to much for me. (total different story with native Chinese food, which its mostly steam food rice and veggies) I cannot eat anything fried, because I get sick. (it is a good thing because it keeps me away from even trying) Sugar makes me sleepy. Yes, ain't that weird. Anything with 5grams of sugar or more, I go into a “comma” I fall asleep for at least an hour. So I try to stay away from Sugary stuff, I try sugar free and that gives me horrible gas. (can’t win) So I am trying to stay away from sugar free candy and pasties, but its hard since I used to eat sweets all the time for so many years. When the sweet tooth attacks, I discovered Low sugar Frosted Flakes, OMG, my savior. Low sugar versions of my favorites are awesome.

Before I wouldn't wear any clothes that were sleeveless, now, its the same. My under arms are very “droopy” from all the weight lost and all the excess skin. My abdomen its very wrinkly and my inner tights as well. I can feel my rib cage and collar bone, and my hip bones and all my bones for that matter. I no longer have to wear wide shoes, just regular size, my ring size went from size 11 to 8.5 I can wear all bangles and watches.

On another note, since food was my addiction, I have taken on another addiction, Shopping. I have a problem with Online shopping.I keep taking on crafts....

I also developed severe anxiety, I hate going out alone, and I i go into panic when there are to many people around me. (not sure why)

Oh also, you know that doctors usually say “you pain its due to all the weight you are carrying” Well, I truly believe they are wrong. All this weight gone and all my pains from my joints and my back are getting worst. My coccyx bone “tail bone” always hurt when i sit down for short periods of time: that seems to be very common withing people that has had the weight loss surgery. My sleep apnea its relived, but my depression its worst. I feel it creeping in all the time, but I refuse to take more pills. My friend recently suggested to take 5-HTP, so I started to take that yesterday so lets see if it helps. I am dependent of Iron and multiple vitamins for life, and I continue to have to drink 64 ounces of water a day.

The biggest problem its to learn to love my new me. I have to get pass the imperfections and focus on all the good I have. Maybe because of all the years of people putting me down because of my weight even when I wasn't Severely obese, maybe that did something to my perception. But i am working on it, like I always do.

6 months, 102 pounds gone! Updates!

Six Months!!! Yay, half way to my year. Once you become healthier you find out that your life becomes so busy. There is so much more energy flowing through my body, I wake up around 8am, and stay up all day doing different things. When I was much bigger, I used to wake up sometimes as late as 2pm, unless i had to work, and even then I always requested night shift, because i couldn't wake up early because i never get enough sleep.

There are so many things that I enjoy now. I love getting dress up and putting on makeup to go anywhere outside the house. That's how i used to be when i was in high school. It is fun to have the self esteem to do things outside your home. I cant wait to wear a bathing suit. I want to own at least, 5 different ones. I can wear jewelry I couldn't wear before, because my neck was to big or my wrist were to fat. I love shopping now. I love doing things, I love talking about my weight and about all the changes that are happening within me. I see that people notice me more. In part it is sad because, you realize how shallow the world is. But, it is OK. I still me. I still enjoy playing video games, watch super heroes movies and scary movies. I am a geek that loves fashion that's all.  He are some before and afters =)

I still have a long way to come from 296, I am now 194, that's 102 pounds gone! That's a 10th grader gone out of my body =P
My realistic goal weight it's 150, my ideal weight it's 130. When I reach 150, i will consider that a miracle. I am fine right now. I could stop loosing weight today, as long as I never gain those 100 pounds again I will be happy with myself. I do have a lot of loose skin, that I'm working with. That's a lot of weight just hanging out of me, that cost a lot of money to remove. Money I DO NOT have. But I think I can work on it, and at least diminish it a little bit. I am moving in 7 days to the south of US, and I will be closer to the beach and very nice weather most of the year, so I believe all the sun, and warmth will do me some good.

I will update again when I move and I reach 180 pounds. BTW, I realize that every time, a week before my menstraul period, I get very hungry for sweets. Since I cannot have sweets, I eat some Weight Watchers Creme Cakes. Those are yummy just  9g of sugar per cake. I also like The Belvita Soft Baked cookies. As far as protein, I been having the hardest time. Specially because protein it is so expensive and working with a small budget, and trying to get protein that you actually like it is hard so I recently Fount Atkins Mocha Latte Protein. It is Awesome!

In another note. Do you remember why I started this journey? Well my brother is back in the hospital again. Result that he does not want to get this surgery done. He has put on more weight and he is very sick. They had put a trachea tube on him and now its barely working. He still cant breath at night, he refuses to go to doctors, as a matter of fact he has not gone to a doctor in 8 months. I have talk to him, I have show him what this surgery can do for him, he just don't want to do it. He says he can do it without the surgery, but he also doesn't try to do it. Sometimes, I think he just wants to die. I had a deep conversation with a family member the other day, and I realize. All i can do its give advice. An adult need their own motivations to do things and they have to make it happen on their own. Just because something works out for me, doesn't mean that other people will want to do it. They need to WANT it. I really hope they if he comes out out of this one, it becomes a wake up call for him and, maybe, just maybe I can have my brother back like he used to be.

4.5 Months and counting

This is my second attempt at this blog because it seems that my original got deleted some how.

It seems like forever since I posted anything about my surgery.  It has been 4 months and half since I undergo this procedure. I'm about to tell you my personal experience so far. This doesn't mean that it will be the same for you or for someone else because everyone is different. But this are my personal experiences. I did tons of research before this surgery, so here it goes...
I'm going to star from January seen that's where I left off. Giving up my addiction of food have sprout other addictions. I am addicted to shopping. I will find anything to buy. I'm addicted to crafts and selling on Ebay. Mostly shopping because any money I make I spend it right off. It doesn't help that I don't have a steady paycheck and I'll explain why. I started a job after as a security guard it lasted a week. I was constantly tired and I had massive anxiety. I didn't want to go out into the world. I even got a prescription for the anxiety. I had to leave that job, It wasn't for me. I couldn't perform it. I recently started to sell on Ebay. And I feel at peace, I get to sell and buy, which are two things that I love.
Eating has been a learning experience for me. I basically had to learn how to ear all over again. I had to learn to chew and wait to drink and pace myself. No matter how hungry I am, my stomach lets me know it is enough. I get a horrible pain if I eat even one spoon to much. When something doesn't agree with me, It wont digest. I will be in pain until i puke. It is horrible. Puking has become a normal for me. Not every time but when something doesn't agree with me, the only way to get rid of it is by letting it out. I do not force it out, I happens on its own.  I have even named my pouch, HE'S name is KEITH. =P
Yes Keith is not a nice tummy. Sometimes I think he has a mind of its own.
Other things that have change are my toe nails, I get to paint them EVERY week, because i can reach my own toes!!
I cross my legs everywhere I go. It's lovely. My daughter and me fight over clothes, because i fit on my 13 year old clothes. Her and me are going into a exercise  plan, that we agreed on.

Also my taste buds have change. I need very flavorful food in order to satisfied my pallet. I hit a lot of stalls, because I forget to eat or not hungry a key thing with this surgery is that you HAVE to eat at least 3 times a day to promote weight loss, If you don't, you don't loose weight.

If you HAVE ANY, ANYTHING ANY QUESTION whatsoever, Please shoot me an email , I will answer you! EMAIL ME!

Most of the time I do not feel hunger ( i am listing all this as i remember) I had a beautiful blog, in chronological order but it got deleted, so I need to remember what I wrote, and If I forget something I will add it on my other posts.

Also, if you are thinking about this surgery or went through this surgery and want to join a secret Facebook group please send me an email with your email and name and I will sent you and invite ( no one in the outside world can see the group or its members, It is by invite only.

December, always a hard month for any diet.

December was a busy month. The holidays are always hard on any diet. There was so much food, that I wanted to eat but if I ate it I would get sick. I wish there was a surgery to remove that from my brain too. The desires for food were really intense. I wanted cake, and sweets, but I knew if I had them I would just get sick. I ate some rice, and puke it. For some reason I  can tolerate chips, which its horrible for me and I have to make sure I choose healthier version of the regular chips. I am so weak for chips. Despite the weakness for chips I lost 20 pounds in the month of December. My major problem is that I have is that i eat too fast, i fail at chewing really good, but them i puke. I am trying to work on my chewing to a paste consistency, but the texture of the food inside my mouth bothers me. The paste consistency makes me want to puke.

Healthy food is expensive. I dont know why, but when I look at prices everything that is better for me is always more expensive, but since I eat less everything equals to the same. Everyone in my house has lost weight because we have to eat healthier versions, so this surgery has affected everyone. I am not going to sugar coated it, it is hard. You get sick if you don't do what you supposed to do, and sometimes you get sick just because... I named my stomach pouch Keith. He has an attitude problem. So whenever something doesn't agree with me, I say "Keith doesn't like it" .

My journey has just begun, and I have to keep reminding myself, that it took 30 years to get this heavy, its going to take time to get skinny. But my sense of instant gratification really messes with me. There are times when i get mad if i don't loose any pounds for the week. But I have to stop myself from that and be happy I don't have to take blood pressure medications, and realize that it takes time.

In July i was 286 pounds, before surgery I was 256, and now i am 236, I lost 50 pounds in 6 months, and I am only one month post op. I should be happy, but sometimes I have to remind myself of all my hard work.

Weight Loss Surgery and the Media

Weight Loss surgery if often view as the “cheat surgery” by the media and the “healthy” public. People with the surgery are force to lie, because other people view them as weak, or cheaters. Is it cheating, if you have a heart condition and they have to create another means for your blood to travel thorough your body?

Most people that get the WLS are sick, with diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep-apnea, have limited mobility, and basically are dying little by little. So tell me how is that so different than treating cancer or a heart problem?

However that's not the real issue. The real issue are all this reality TV shows showing people that are severely obese, and all their health problems, using WLS s a last result. Yes they show how the surgery is done, and what it does to the body. However, they fail to communicate to the public the process to get there. They always present the patient 4 months later, and how much they lost with the surgery. The fat doesn't just melts away. That gives an impression of the weight being lost as a breeze and effortless. They don't show the diet, the rigorous plant, the exercise, and the pain, and several medical issues that happens with the surgery. I have several friends that had the WLS. They are all succes stories. However they have a journey to get there. They have countless sleepless nights, dealing with pain, and fear of they might die.

It is day 8 since I had surgery and I might of have one good night sleep. I been bloated, in pain, sick, I cant take showers on my own because of fear I'm going to pass out because I'm so weak. My legs are bruised and my arms too from the compression socks and the IVs. I haven't leave my house in 7 days because every time I get up i get short of breath and dizzy. No worries, because apparently it happens to almost everyone that gets the surgery. Plus, I have anemia. Lets not mention that 9/10 people will need cosmetic surgery to remove the excess skin from their bodies, because it might cause rashes, and infections.

Also for me, because every surgeon is different, I have 7 days of  all liquids, and protein shakes, then I go to stage 2: where I eat soft foods, including tuna, chicken, but mushed. Then after seven weeks of that diet, I start regular food. Never being able to eat sweets, alcohol, and high fat contents again. I have to take vitamins for the rest of my life, other wise i can get malnourished.

When I started this journey in June 3013, I weighted 286 pounds, Before the surgery on November 26, 2013 I weighted 256. Today 12/4/2013 I weight 249 and going down. I am very glad I did this, even thou i question my decision every day, because I just miss the food. But I am doing something for my health and I don't feel like I have cheated, nor took the easy way out. No sir... I am earning every single pound I loose with pain and sacrifice.

Not every body got bless with an awesome metabolism or a healthy heart, That is why, doctors and researches work so hard to investigate new methods  to make us healthier.  And if working hard to loose wight, be in constant pain, and not being able to eat what you want, its cheating? We need to redefine the word succes then.....

Day 15/ Surgery's Eve

Day 15 of the partial liquid diet, and the day before of the surgery. This, has been the longest 15 days of my life. I been cranky and mean to almost every one, including the dog. But I made it, I made a couple of cheats like eating pickles, sugar free Popsicles and the worst one I had two pieces of milk chocolate. I lost 6 more pounds with the diet. I am ready to get this surgery done. I am excited and terrified because i know all the risks involved but I have confident in God and my surgeon and I will be OK. I really thank my boyfriend for keeping up with all the mean that I gave him. So lets do this. I am 258 pounds now, Onward to 150!

DAY 3: Partial Liquid diet

Day 3:

Well it is not so bad.  I feel,  thin.  HUNGRY though. The protein drinks, are good in taste. I have to drink it on time. Exactly two hours later I feel hungry, therefore i made alarms in my phone so I don't miss my shakes. At night 4 oz of lean chicken feels like a lot, it fills me out. I eat it with two cups of non-starchy veggies.  However, after i get full, in two hours at 7:30 pm I feel like I am starving. So I drink my water then, until I do to bed. But then I am waking up several times at night to use the bathroom. I feel dizzy, cranky, and tired. I had to take a medical leave from school because I didn't feel alert at school. But I still think is not so bad, its like breaking some kind of addiction. I just need to be isolated so I don't get temptation from people eating around me. Once I learn to control my urges, It will be better. I need lots of encouragement, and I think I have enough.

Last night I was awake in the side of the bed for around 2 hours, just randomly thinking about things. At one point I was questioning myself, is this really worth it? Of course it is. Being healthy means living longer and being able to wear a bathing suit once again ;) .

For water too, I drink some sobe 0 calorie drinks, power zero, and some sugar free popsicles. The sugar free popsicles are my savior. When ever i want something crunchy, or sweet, I grab one of those and it ease all those cravings at once. With no sugar, and barely any calories.

I am wondering if I will loose any weight or inches with this. at the end of the two weeks.
